摘要
重庆洋务启蒙学堂乃黎庶昌在川东道任内创办的培养洋务人才的机构。该学堂创办伊始至停办,共历三年余。作为洋务教育的重要组成部分,该学堂不仅培养了洋务人才,传播了西学,开通了风气,还为后来新教育兴起奠定了基础。
Chongqing School for Enlightenment and Foreign Affairs was an educational institution initiated by Li Shuchang to train talents for foreign affairs du^ing his governance of Chuandong Daotai. The School existed for three years. As an integral part of westernized education, it not only cultivated the multitude of talents for foreign affairs, but also circulated western learning and led the fashiun, thus laying a solid foundation for now education in its wake.
