摘要
在访谈中,日本方言地理学家岩田礼教授介绍了自己的学术历程、研究成果和主要思想,总结了比利时神父贺登崧(W.A.Grootaers)的理论在中国受挫的历史原因,最后展望了中国语言地理学的发展前景。他深信,今后汉语方言的研究不可避免地会面对方言地理学的课题,汉语方言地理学的前景令人乐观。
This paper reports the highlights of the author's interview with Professor Ray Iwata concerning the prospect of Chinese geolinguistics. In the interview, Professor Iwata explores the historical reasons why W.A. Grootaers's theory was not accepted by most Chinese scholars at his time. He predicts that geolinguistics is an inevitable trend in the study of Chinese dialects, and will surely have a bright future. During the interview, Professor Iwata also talked about his academic experience, publications, and his personal views about Chinese geolinguistics.
