To investigate the value of the validity index of MMPI-B. Methods: 135 patients with schizophrenia were examined with MMPI-B. Results: The complemented validity scale and the index were sensitive when used in the patients with schizophrenia. Conclusion: The MMPI-B was validly applied to patients with schizophrenia but the exact thresholds of the validity scales of MMPI-B and their indices need to be determined.
