摘要
湘西开发历史悠久,土司统治时期既开启了新的开发进程,又产生了历史的不平衡性;改土归流时期,原土司区开发历史进程加快,广大苗区"屯政开疆",也进入新的开发历史时期,湘西地区政治、经济、文化和社会生活的各个方面发生了深刻的社会历史变迁,古代湘西社会的历史发展步伐明显加快。
Western Hunan has been developed for a long time in history. Tusi period initiated a new stage for the development of this area,and caused a historical unbalance as well. During the ＂Tugaiguiliu＂ period, the area originally ruled by Tusi fastened its development,and with the implementation of ＂Tuntian- kaijiang＂ policy, the area of Miao nationality has moved into a new development stage, during which much progress has been achieved in politics, economy, culture and social life in Western Hunan, and caused significant historical changes in this area.
