摘要
20世纪90年代以来,发展中国家为了促进经济增长和获得其他利益,成立了大量的区域性经济一体化组织。本文选择非洲有代表性的经济一体化组织为研究对象,考察南南型一体化组织的增长效应,并分析意大利面碗效应在成员国经济增长中的作用。实证结果显示:区域经济一体化没有推动非洲国家的经济增长;意大利面碗效应对经济增长有抑制作用。因此,广泛参与南南型区域经济一体化集团无助于成员国发展经济,这为我国正在实施的"自由贸易区战略"的政策制定提供了参考和建议。
Numerous RTAs have been set up by developing countries since the 1990s in order to spur growth, among which appears obvious spaghetti-bowl phenomenon. Based on panel data evidence from African countries set for 1985-2007, this paper studies the growth effects of RTAs with spaghetti-bowl phe- nomenon. The results show that RTAs benefit Africa little and spaghetti-bowl phe- nomenon seriously restricts the growth in Africa, which has implications for Chi- nese FTA strategy since South-South RIAs fail to foster growth in members.
