摘要
广州粒子物理理论讨论会是我国粒子物理学发展史上的一个转折点。本文通过考察此次会议召开的背景、过程及结果,论述其学术意义与政治、社会影响。在"文革"之后特殊的国内外环境下,该会议不仅为我国粒子物理学的发展带来了新的契机,也是中国科技界打开对外交流大门的一次重要的破冰之举,并从一个独特的角度反映了台海关系等当时一些敏感的政治问题与社会状况。这对于中国科技史乃至政治史都具有重要的意义。
The 1980 Guangzhou Conference on Theoretical Particle Physics is a turning point in the development of particle physics in China. By investigating the background, process, and results of this meeting, this article discusses its academic significance, as well as its social and political influence. Being held under the special circumstances of a country recovering from the Cultural Revolution, this symposium not only brought new chances to particle physics in China, but also proved to be an important breakthrough for Chinese academic circle to open the door for external communication. Some politically or socially sensitive issues also emerged during the conference. The above issues have great significance for the history of science, technology and politics of China
