Analysis of activity and hydration products of magnesium oxide by X-ray diffractometry

摘要 使用X射线衍射仪,测定了氧化镁(MgO)的活性及其水化产物。碱式碳酸镁在高温下煅烧,得到不同活性的MgO。随着温度的升高,MgO的活性逐渐降低。采用Hall法,计算MgO的平均晶粒大小和晶格畸变。在650℃、850℃和950℃时,MgO的平均晶粒大小分别为20、63和69nm,平均晶格畸变分别为4.00×10-4、2.16×10-4和1.68×10-4。随着MgO活性的增加,氯氧镁水泥的衍射峰变宽,强度变低,水泥的生成量减少,晶粒变小,结晶不太完整。 The activity and hydration products of MgO were determined by X-ray diffractometry. MgO with different activities was obtained by calcination of basic magnesium carbonate under high temperatures. With the increase of temperature, the activity of MgO decreased. The average grain sizes and the lattice distortions of MgO were calculated by Hall method. At the temperatures of 650℃, 850℃ and 950℃, the average grain sizes were 20, 63, 69nm, and the lattice distortions were 4.00×10^-4, 2.16×10^-4 and 1.68×10^-4 , respectively. With the increase of activity of MgO, the diffraction peak width of magnesium oxy-chloride cement broadened, the peak intensity weakened, the production quantity reduced, the grain size became smaller, and the crystallization was incomplete.
