摘要
通过对内隐学习理论及其在英语语法教学领域中应用情况的介绍,同时结合我国大学里英语语法教学的实际情况,分析了隐性语法教学的优点与缺点,即肯定了该法在培养大学生使用英语、用英语进行交际等方面起到的积极作用,又指出了它由于过分削弱语法在教学中的地位带来的弊端。语法翻译法和听说法曾在传统外语教学中占主导地位,而20世纪80年代交际法的兴起使人们开始排斥传统教法甚至将语法教学从外语课堂彻底开除,经过实践和反思,人们开始重新思考各种教法的利与弊。本文认为:以隐性语法教学为主,把显性语法教学作为其必要补充是解决这一问题的有效方法。教师要反思自己在学生学习语法过程中所使用的教法倾向、教学策略、教学目标和教学实效,提升把两种教法相结合的意识。
This paper is intended to discuss the effective approach to grammar teaching in China＇s college English class.Via an introduction to implicit learning theory as well as it application in China＇s EFL grammar teaching,meanwhile by combining it with the teaching truths of that at China＇s colleges,this paper has put a focus on both the weaknesses and strengths of implicit grammar teaching.It has not only stressed its active role in cultivating college students＇ ability to use and communicate in English,but has also pointed out its negative effects brought over by its overlook of the significance of grammar teaching in EFL learning.Grammar translation method and audio-lingual method had ever taken a dominant place in traditional foreign language teaching,while the flourish of communicative approach in 1980＇s had make many people feel disgusted at the traditional teaching method which had resulted in a total desertion of grammar teaching at some colleges.After this practice,people began to reconsider its advantages and disadvantages,thus seeking a delicate balance between these two teaching methods.In the writer＇s opinion,when teachers put an emphasis on implicit teaching,they should also use the explicit one as its necessary complement.Teachers should reflect on their teaching methods,strategy tendency,teaching goals and teaching effects during the course of their grammar teaching and raise their consciousness level of combining these two teaching methods.
