摘要
《欲望号街车》中的白兰琪是个复杂的悲剧性人物。不同的人对于白兰琪评价各不相同。有人鄙视她,有人同情她。无论如何,她的悲剧不是个人的,而是具有普遍意义的。所以值得我们关注。在文章中,笔者试图通过追溯白兰琪和斯坦利的矛盾挖掘白兰琪崩溃的根源,同时揭露这两个人物的象征意义,并且进一步阐述斯坦利所代表的世界的自然定律。
In A Streetcar Named Desire, Blanche is a complex tragic figure. Different people may have different attitudes towards Blanche. Some despise her; Some shed tears for her. Whatever her tragedy is not individual but universal. Thus it is worthy of our concern. In this paper, The author would try to discover the causes of Blanche＇ s breakdown through tracing the intensification of conflicts between Blanche and Stanley, expose the symbolic meanings of these two figures, and furthermore expound the law of nature in the world represented by Stanley.
