摘要
词汇与文化密切相关是词汇联想意义的主要特点。由于中西文化的差异,英汉词语之间在联想意义上存在非对应性,因此掌握词汇的联想意义和文化内涵是提高语言应用能力与培养有效跨文化言语交际能力的关键。通过调查分析,高职高专学生对词汇联想意义和文化内涵的掌握普遍比较薄弱,说明词汇联想意义教学的确是亟待加强的环节。教师应加强学生词汇联想意义和文化内涵方面培养,提高其语言应用能力和文化交际能力。
The main characteristic of associative meanings of Vocabulary is that it is closely related with its culture.Due to cultural differences between China and the western countries,the associative meanings of vocabulary may not be corresponding.Therefore,having a good command of the associative meanings and their cultural connotations is essential for students to improve their ability in cross-cultural communication.Through investigation and analysis,the finding shows higher vocational college students are weak in mastering the associative meanings and their cultural connotations.Therefore,English teachers need to take measures to change this situation.
