摘要
云南是绿孔雀的故乡,但近年来分布不断缩小,滇南和西双版纳已很难发现.唯独楚雄地区尚存约280只.但目前这一种群正受到人类的严重干扰,非法捕猎和拣蛋等使种群1/3个体受害.
Yunnan Province of China is the hometown for Green Peafowl.During recent years,however,the distribution and population of Green Peafowl has rapidly declined.lt is very difficult to find them in the Southern Yunnan and Xishuangbanna where historically they were abundant.lt is only in Chuxiong.a remote region of Yunnan,where approximately 280 Green Peafowl in total exist at present.Major human interference includes poaching and eggpicking,which together have threatened thirty percent of the population.by XU Hui(Chuxiong Wildlife and Plant Conservation Station,Yunnan China 675000)
