摘要
鲁迅与库切小说的批判精神有着惊人的相似之处。尽管鲁迅解剖的是中国的国民劣根性,库切揭露的是殖民主义和种族主义在南非的罪恶,但二者在本质上则是一致的。两位作家均暴露了文明的虚伪,展示了人性中的嗜血、奴性、瞒和骗,从而体现出作家深刻的思想、敏锐的洞察力和冷峻的民族自省精神,以及直面现实的勇气和对人类的大爱。
Lu Xun and Coetzee bear striking resemblance in the critical spirit of their novels.While Lu Xun lashes at the national weakness and Coetzee exposes the evils committed by colonists and racialists in South Africa,their critical spirit is similar in nature.They both have laid bare the hypocrisy of civilization and have revealed the bloodthirsty nature,servility and deceptiveness of human beings,thus having displayed writers＇ profound thought,sharp insights and stern national spirit of self-examination as well as their courage to face up to reality and their great love for humankind.
