摘要
针对采用GOP结构的低码率视频,提出了一种结合了信源失真特性与信道失真特性的信源编码的速率控制算法。该方法基于以GOP为单元的端到端的动态率失真模型,利用最小代价优化法搜索各帧的最佳量化参数。在不改变信源编码速率限制的条件下,通过合理地调整各帧之间的比特分配,有效提高了端到端的视频质量。实验表明,与JVT-G012相比,本文提出的速率控制算法对于中高速运动的视频序列PSNR的平均增益可达1dB以上。
A rate control method is proposed for low-bit-rate Group of Pictures (GOP) based video coding. In this method both source distortions and channel distortions are taken into account. Based on a dynamic end-to-end rate distortion model, a minimum cost optimization algorithm is employed to search the optimal bit allocation and quantization parameter for each frame in one GOP. Simulation results show that, compared with JVT-G012, under the same rate constraint the proposed method can achieve up to 1 dB average gain on Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) for videos containing medium or high speed motion.
