摘要
本研究调查了中国学习者英语关系从句的习得情况以及国际学习者汉语关系从句的习得情况;比较了两组学习者英、汉语言作为第二语言的关系从句习得难度的差异。调查结果表明:(1)中国学习者英语关系从句的习得难度顺序支持的假设明显多于国际学习者汉语关系从句习得所支持的假设;(2)中国学习者英语关系从句的习得基本支持最短距离假设,名、动、名图式假设以及SO层级假设;(3)汉语关系从句的习得难度顺序不符合以英语习得为基础的关系从句习得理论假设,这是由加工策略和目的语类型差异共同作用的结果。
140 I2 learners of English and 39 12 learners of Chinese have been investigated on the acquisition of English and Chinese relative clauses respectively. A comparison has been made between the two groups on the orders of the acquisition dif- ficulty, which were then matched with the eight hypotheses formed in this area. The research findings indicate (1) more hy- potheses of relative clause acquisition are supported by the acquisition of 12 English relative clauses than those of 12 Chinese ones; (2) the difficulty order of the acquisition of English relative clauses basically supports three hypotheses, namely the Minimal Distance Hypothesis, NVN-schema Hypothesis and SO Hierarchy Hypothesis ; ( 3 ) the difficulty order of the acquisition of Chinese relative clauses does not conform with any hypothesis formed on the basis of the acquisition of English. The resuits are caused by relative clause processing strategies and target language typological differences.
