摘要
作为类型学共性的名词短语可及性层级揭示了关系从句构成的跨语言蕴涵共性。30多年来,该可及性层级在二语习得领域广泛用于关系从句习得的实证研究。英语二语习得的研究结果基本支持层级的预测效度,而近年来东亚语言二语习得的研究结果却支持关系从句的类型学新论。今后应加强对英语、汉语以及跨语言对比的研究并注重研究方法的使用。
As a typological universal,Noun Phrase Accessibility Hierarchy(NPAH) reveals the cross-linguistic implicational regularities of relative clause formation.Over the past three decades,the NPAH has been widely applied in empirical studies of relative clause acquisition in the field of second language acquisition(SLA).Results from English-as-a-second-language research mostly warrant its predictive validity,but recent SLA studies concerning East Asian languages lend support to the new typology of relative clauses proposed by Comrie(1998;2002).Future research is proposed on English,Chinese and cross-linguistic comparisons,and on related methodological issues as well.
