商、周时,青铜工具被应用于农业,饮食原料逐渐丰富,使人类的生活得到改善,同时祭祀活动也变得频繁,由于祭祀活动需要时间等待,在祭祀的过程中热食慢慢变成凉食,特别是寒冷季节羹食易冷,美味不存。所以在祭祀后的饮食中,贵族们希望吃到热食,这就需要一种饮食器加热,温鼎在这种需求中诞生。
During the Shang and Zhou Dynasties in Chinese history,usage of bronze tools in agriculture led to the increase of food varieties,as a result of which people＇s lives were greatly improved.Meanwhile,sacrifice activities were on the rise.Sacrificing rituals took time to complete,and food got cold during the processes,especially in cold seasons,which resulted in the loss of savors.To cater for the noblemen＇s demand for hot food,a bronze heating vessel was invented.
