摘要
从认知的角度,根据Lakoff的理论,分析了马丁.路德.金的演说《我们将去向何处》中的旅程式隐喻。分析表明,旅程式隐喻通过指称频繁的、司空见惯人类活动"旅程",构建其与美国黑人民权运动的尽量多的共同点,能很好地打动听众,激发热情;而要正确理解和把握此类隐喻性语篇必须以人为本。
This paper,upon exemplifying the generality of trip-metaphor,explores the mechanism of journey-metaphor.A speaker-orientated analysis reveals that Martin Luther King Jr.structured,understood,peformed,and talked＂Civil Rights Movement＂in terms of the concept ＂journey＂,which results a wide variety of metaphorical expressions in his speech Where Do We Go from Here.And the application of journey-metaphor in the speech achieves strong persuasive power.
