摘要
学界关于"民族"与"族群"概念的争论缘由可归纳为两个方面:一方面,由于全球化,国际学术的跨文化交流,出现本土知识与世界其他知识对接或对话问题;另一方面,由于整个国家及世界话语情境的变化,旧的知识需要批判与反思,新的知识体系需要被重建。汉语的"民族"概念已经固化和内化,不能与"族群"概念随意置换,更要避免在实际应用中对"民族"和"族群"概念进行过度泛化。汉语中强调"民族"概念是为了始终体现国家建构的历史文化过程。
The debates about the concepts of Minzu and Ethnic Group have risen among the academic commu- nity for a long time. It may be on account of two points： on the one hand, there are more and more confliction of the knowledge abutting joint or dialogue between native and some other knowledge in the world because of globaliza- tion and intercultural and international academic exchanges. On the other hand, the older knowledge needs critique and reflections, at the same time the new knowledge should be rebuilt as a result of the changes within the whole country and the world context. In Chinese, the conception of Minzu has already immobilized and internalized. Therefore we must not use the concept of Ethnic group instead of Min zu at random. Furthermore, we should reduce the excessive generalization of the two concepts in the practical application. It is very important that emphasis on Min zu to demonstrate the historical and cultural progress of Nation-building.
