摘要
This paper introduces five pieces of Western Zhou bronzes with inscriptions which are significant in the studies of Western Zhou history and bronzes in the Shang and Zhou Dynasties. Among them two ’pan’(盆) vessels with inscriptions of 仲■父 are the most critical ones. These vessels clarify the name of similar type of vessels as ’pan’,which were called as ’yu’(盂) before,and the date of their initial appearance as the first half of the Middle Western Zhou.
