摘要 词汇是语言的基本单位。在高职高专英语教学中,学生词汇储备量不足是英语学习的最大障碍。针对传统的词汇教学策略存在诸多不足,本文以认知语言学中的原型范畴理论为指导,探讨了高职高专英语词汇教学的新理念,提出在词汇教学中,要重视基本范畴词的学习,重视多义词的讲解等方法,从而提高学生学习兴趣以及教学质量。 Vocabulary is the basic unit of language. In higher vocational college English teaching, students' insufficient vocabulary is the biggest obstacle in English learning. Compared with the traditional vocabulary teaching strategies, this thesis is intended to make attempts in applying prototype theory to English vocabulary teaching. It proposes that attention should be paid to the learning of basic level category vocabulary as well as the polysemous words teaching, so as to enhance students' interests in learning vocabulary and improve the teaching quality.
