摘要
翻译教学是大学英语教学的重要组成部分,也是培养翻译人才的主要途径。大学英语翻译教学有助于非英语专业学生养成良好的学习习惯,提高他们的英语综合能力。长期以来,高校对翻译教学缺乏重视和整体规划,师资力量薄弱,教师教学模式陈旧,学生语言基础较差,英语翻译教学效果令人堪忧。为培养适应社会经济发展的翻译人才,高校应当完善大学英语教学大纲,改革教材内容,转变教学模式,加强师资队伍建设,以使大学英语翻译的教学水平迈上一个新台阶。
Translation teaching is one of the important components of College English teaching, and also the main channel of cultivating translation talents. College English translation teaching is helpful in developing non-English majors＇good learning habits and improving their comprehensive English level. However, for a long time colleges and universities haven＇t paid due attention to the translation teaching and its comprehensive planning. Besides, qualified teachers are scarce, the teaching models are old-fashioned and students are poor in their langugage ability. All of the above mentioned has put the translation teaching in a worrying situation. To train translation talents in accordance with the social and economic development, we can do the following things to reform the translation teaching： perfecting the College English Teaching Syllabus, reforming the teaching materials, transforming the teaching models, and strengthening the building of traching staff. Only by this way can we hope to take the College English translation teaching to the next new level.
