摘要
作为一个世界性的文学原型,"鞋"在中西方文学中都是"性"的象征。张爱玲小说中的"鞋"意象承载着"性"与"焦虑"、"死亡"的多重意涵,既是对传统文学中"鞋"意象内涵的继承,更是对其意旨的拓展,成为解读女性人物丰富复杂内心世界的密码,是女性荒凉一生的见证。她借助对"鞋"意象内涵的拓展,从女性潜意识层面表达女性的身体、情欲和性别诉求,道出父权文化钳制下被淹没的女性之声,填补了五四女作家在书写女性深层自我上的空缺。"鞋"这一能指的广泛应用丰富了作品的心理内涵,营造了一个意义丰富的女性世界,进一步阐释匮乏和内囿情境中的女性的文化意义。
As a world-wide literary prototype, "shoes" are the symbol of "sex" both in Chinese and West- ern literature. Zhang Ai-ling creates in her novels a "shoes" image with multiple meanings of "sex", "anxiety" and "death", not only taking over its traditional meanings but also extending its connotation. Thus the "shoes" image becomes the key to interpreting the rich and complicated inner world of female characters and bears witness to women's solitary lives. By this extension, she expresses at subconscious level women's bodies, lusts, and gender appeals, voices out their concerns suppressed under patriarchal culture, and fills the vacancy of writing about women's deep selves by female writers in "May 4th" period. The extensive use of the signifier "shoes" enriches the psychological content of the works, creating a meaningful female world and further interpreting the cultural significance of women under deprived and imprisoned condition.
