By combining food with body experience, the paper attempts a cultural interpretation of the Baima-Tibetan's habit of eating pork fat. Basing on their body experience, the Baima-Tibetan people have established strict diet rules. By acknowledging the physical nature of the food and by touching, tasting, smelling, and seeing, they have already developed principles of categorizing and eating food. On the other hand, from the perspective of converting food into body energy,Baima-Tibetan people,by sharing food during festivals and offering food to gods as sacrifice, have concretized the multi symbolic meanings of food as body feelings and made body an important carrier of social memory and cultural ideas. Therefore, such practice not only distinguishes one ethnic group from another, but also expresses the unique understanding of their holy belief.
