摘要
在紫外通信系统中通常使用的光电倍增管(PMT)存在着一些不足。雪崩光电二极管(APD)的特点使其具备成为除PMT外另一种可选探测器的潜力。文章介绍了APD的结构和工作原理,分析比较了近期紫外APD的研制成果,提出了应用方案并对其实现进行了探讨。
The photomultiplier tube(PMT) normally used in the UV communication system has some disadvantages.The characteristics of the avalanche photodiode(APD) make it potential to be an alternative to the PMT detector.The paper described the theory and structure of the APD,compared and analyzed the UV APDs recently manufactured,provided application scheme and probed into how to realize it.
