摘要
本文基于COLSEC语料库,分析了中国英语学习者会话中的反馈语。通过分析反馈语出现的位置、语言环境等特征,探讨了学习者反馈语的类型、频数分布、性别差异、位置分布和语用功能,并发现:学习者在英语会话中反馈语使用较少,尤其是对语言运用能力要求较高的反馈语,如"协助完成"和"简短陈述";学习者的反馈语不全都出现在话轮结构单位的交界处,也常出现在话轮内部,甚至出现在结构和意义相对固定的短语或搭配内部,但这并不会造成合作和理解的假象;男女性别的对比显示,女性学习者更经常使用表示理解、肯定或者赞同对方的话语。
Based on the COLSEC,this paper investigates a sample of 'reactive tokens',a kind of response item,in Chinese EFL learners' oral communication.By describing the sequences in which these tokens occur and their contextual features,the tokens are examined in terms of types,frequency distributions,gender relations,insertion points and pragmatic functions.The findings include: 1) EFL learners employ a comparatively small amount of reactive tokens,especially 'collaborative finish' and 'short statement' which demand learners' higher competence in linguistic manipulation;2) the tokens are inserted not only between turns,but into turn-internals,even structurally well-formed and semantically idiomatic expressions,which however does not indicate pretense of understanding and cooperation by learners' adopting interactive strategies;3) the comparison as regards gender shows that female learners tend to use more reactive tokens in mixed-gender conversation than male learners.Finally,the pedagogic implications of this research are also discussed.
