摘要
蜚声世界的印度电影导演萨蒂亚吉特.雷伊的女性系列影片,通过探讨女主人公被家庭压抑的悲剧命运,揭示了印度近代启蒙改革以来女性解放运动所掩盖的一个重要问题:在推动女性解放进程中,印度男性改革者主张在外部和物质世界模仿西方,促使国家的现代化转型,同时却在精神和内部领域保持作为"未被殖民的空间"的家庭,于是妇女被迫成为守护印度这一内部精神领域的"受压抑者"。
Satyajit Ray, a well- known Indian director, made a series of female films in early 1960s. By depicting the tragic fate of a number of heroines, he raised a vital issue covered up in the women liberation movement since the days of Bengali renaissance: Indian male reformers advocated emulating the West in eternal and material realm with a view to facilitate the country' s modernization, yet they insisted on preserving ethical tradition at home. This paper aims at analyzing and evaluating those films.
