摘要
在中国佛教史上,随着药师佛经典的传译,药师佛信仰在中土日渐兴盛。特别是在关中唐代佛教石窟以及长安佛教寺院里,都有许多药师佛造像,这是印度佛教不断中国化、世俗化的结果。关中唐代药师佛造像表明,药师佛不仅具有拯救幽冥众生职能,还是横化三世佛之一,这一角色的转换,可以说是中国文化的选择。
In Chinese Buddhist history, the worship of the Pharmacist Buddha prospered daily in the soil of China. Especially there were the sculptures of the Pharmacist Buddha in the Buddhist grottoes and temples in Guanzhong in the Tang Dynasty, which resulted from the gradual Chinesization and secularity of Buddhism in China. The sculptures of the Pharmacist Buddha in Guanzhong in the Tang Dynasty showed that the Pharmacist Buddha was not only responsible for salvaging the worldly, but also was one of the massively-catalyzing Buddhas, whose conversion of role was a choice of Chinese culture.
