The awakening of female consciousness of Jannie, the heroine of Zora Neale Hurston' s Their Eyes Were Watching God, has drawn more and more attention of many domestic and foreign scholars. The paper thinks what Jannie seeks is not only the awakening of her female consciousness but the recognition of her identity. From an Ecofeminist perspective, this essay analyzes how Janie deals with and exceeds the three relations among human and nature, male and female and white people and black people. As a black woman , she intends to obtain an independent and harmonious relationships between the male and female ,black people and the white people .
