摘要 爱国主义是任何国家公民教育的重要内容,在高扬主体人格的今天,如何实现公民对国家忠诚和主体精神的共生共强,是一个值得思索的问题。文章以留学生在国外保护奥运火炬的爱国主义行动为引子,探索爱国主义的本质,并试图寻找一种适宜于民主社会的爱国主义公民教育方式。文章围绕两条主线展开,一是爱国主义至关重要,但不应以牺牲公民独立自主的精神为代价;二是为避免公民自主价值选择偏离爱国主义的基本要求,应将爱国主义视为共享命运。因此,呈现历史事实真相、加强自主探究、采取共享命运视角等应成为进行爱国主义公民教育的重要内容。 Patriotism is most important in citizenship education of any country. But how shall we harmonize both love for the country and individual freedom? This article begins with the example of overseas students protecting the Olympic torch, explores the nature of patriotism, looking for suitable ways of teaching patriotism. There are two lines in the article, first, though patriotism is most imortant, it shall not be achieved at the expense of individual freedom; second, patriotism should be made clear as a shared fate so that when citizens make free choices they will not avoid it. Thus the author suggests to include such content into patriotism education as presenting the actual his- tory, encouraging free thinking and patriotism as a shared fate.
