摘要
1930-1936年,汕头市商会内部各派系围绕商会的改组、改选展开了激烈的竞争,导致会务停滞,商会履行职权的权威性和合法性备受质疑,最终得由地方军政机构强力干预,方得以保证改选的顺利。但改选并不能解决商会内部业已存在的问题,各方又迭起争斗,使商会在地方社会的影响力大受削弱。
From 1930 to 1936,there was a violent struggle about the regrouping within Shantou City Chamber of Commerce,giving rise to the stagnation of this organization.The authoritativeness and legality of the rights performed by the Chamber was strongly questioned.Finally,the reelection was made only with the forceful intervention of the local military and administrative institutions.However,the completion of the reelection could not solve the problems deeply rooted within the chamber.Later,the struggles rose frequently among different parties.The influence of the commerce was thus enormously impaired.
