人造石墨与亚稳态再结晶石墨形态变化

Morphology changes of synthetic and metastable regrown graphites

摘要 采用人造石墨作为碳源,硼作为添加剂,NiMnCo合金作为触媒,在金刚石稳定区域内(5.4GPa,1550K)利用温度梯度法考察了析出的亚稳态再结晶石墨的形态变化情况。结果发现,高温高压下析出的亚稳态再结晶石墨的形态跟所用人造石墨碳源有明显不同,人造石墨主要以杂乱无规则的鳞片状形式存在,而析出的亚稳态再结晶石墨形态较为规则,而且随着添加剂硼的加入,形态发生明显变化。当体系中没有硼存在时,亚稳态再结晶石墨大部分具有规则的六角形状,而且呈现明显的片层状生长模式,晶体垂直立于触媒之中,{0001}面与腔体内的轴向温度梯度方向平行生长;当体系中有硼存在时,亚稳态再结晶石墨形态发生明显变化,呈半球或者圆片状,以螺旋式生长为主,{0001}面与腔体内的轴向温度梯度方向垂直。 Taking synthetic graphite as the carbon source, boron as the additive, and NiMnCo alloy as the metal solvent, the morphology changes of metastable regrown graphite crystals are studied by temperature gradient method under high pressure and high temperature (HPHT)- diamond-stale pressure and temperature (5.4 GPa, 1550 K). It is found that the morphology of the regrown graphite is obvious different compared with the used synthetic graphite. The synthetic graphite shows an irregular squama-like morphology, but the regrown graphite shows a more-regular morphology. If no boron is present in the system, sheet-like regrown graphite crystals, most with regular hexagonal morphology, stand vertically in the metal solvent, with {0001} facet parallel to the direction of axial temperature gradient. When boron additive is present, regrown graphite crystals, with half-sphere- like or wafer-like morphology, grow in spiral mode, with {0001} face perpendicular to the direction of axial temperature gradient.
