Using Poliovirus-specific L20B Cells for Virus Isolation and Identification

摘要 在脊髓灰质炎(脊灰)病毒分离鉴定中,细胞的选择非常重要,以往世界卫生组织(WHO)推荐使用Hep-2和RD两种细胞同时进行脊灰病毒的分离鉴定。由于这两种细胞不仅对脊灰病毒敏感,对非脊灰肠道病毒(NPEV)同样敏感,分离到许多NPEV。最近WHO推荐了一种新型的对脊灰病毒特异的L20B细胞,我们使用这种细胞进行的实验显示。 For the aim of eradicating poliomyelitis, Hep-2 and RD celllines recommended by WHO have been used for poliovirus isolation and identification, but they are not only sensitive to poliovirus but also to non-polio enteroviruses, so that most of the work on sample testing proceeded in the latoratory are not specifically targeted at poliovirus. If cells only specifically sensitive to poliovirus can be recommended, the poliovirus isolation will be more convenient. Recently the poliovirus-specific L20B cells which is a cell line of transgenic mouse barbouring poliovirus receptors are recommended by WHO to the polio laboratory net of China. We used the L20B cells to isolate poliovirus from fecal samples and demonstrates the sensitivity and specificity of L20B cells to the polioviruses.
