过去，由于加在宽截面单胎上的允许轴荷的限制，使其没在重型车辆上得到广泛应用。但随着公路建设的不断发展，在高等级公路和高速公路上，七轴和八轴重型载货车辆应用宽截面单胎（WBS）成为可能。详细介绍了宽截面单胎的优缺点，并对组合车辆的稳定性进行了详细地分析。
Wide cross section single tyre wheel has not been extensively applied to heavy duty motor vehicles in past time because of tyre limitation of its allowable axle load. But it becomes possible for tyre wide cross section single tyre wheel to be applied to seven and eight axle heavy duty truck driving on high class highway and express highway after the incessant developtnmt of highway construction. Advantages and disadvantages of the wide cross section single tyre wheel is presented and stability of tractor-trailer combination analyzed in detail.
