B7同源性3(B7-H3)是2001年新发现的B7家族成员。B7-H3mRNA广泛表达在人体各种组织中。其受体可能是髓样细胞触发受体家族的成员TLT-2。B7-H3分子的确切作用及其机制尚不确定,可能存在双重作用,即共刺激作用和(或)共抑制作用。研究发现,B7-H3蛋白在很多肿瘤组织中高表达,并与肿瘤的多种生物学特征密切相关。目前认为B7-H3是一种新的肿瘤标志物和潜在的治疗靶点。
BT-H3 ,a new member of the B7 family ,was identified in 2001. The expression of BT-H3 mRNA is found to be widely distributed in variety of tissues. Trem Like Transcript 2 ( TLT2 ), which is a member of the Triggering receptor expressed on Monocyte. However, the exact function andmechanism of B7-H3 are still unclear. The immunologic function of B7-H3 remains controversial, with conflicting costimulatory and co-inhibitory functions. Recent studies reveal that B7-H3 protein is overexpressed in many malignancies and is closely related to biological characteristics of tumors. Thus, B7-H3 represents a novel diagnostic marker and potential therapeutic target for cancers.
