天波超视距雷达(OTHR)探测范围广、预警时间长,是对地地导弹、巡航导弹、战略轰炸机和海面舰船早期预警的最佳战略预警手段.超视距雷达与地面雷达网、预警飞机和大型相控阵雷达的配合使用,取长补短,形成理想的雷达覆盖范围,能有效解决在防空反导作战中的空情预警问题。
The OTHR has a wide coverage of detection and long period of early warning, which is the best strategic early warning means of the ground to ground missile, cruise missile, strategic bomber and vessel on the sea. The OTHR can be also used with the ground radar net, early warning aircraft and phased array radar to form a perfect coverage of radar, which solves the problems of air intelligence and early warning in the air defence and anti-missile operation effectively.
