This essay re-iterates the importance of site interpretation, by commencing from Louis Kahn's famous lecture in 1973 on "Why bricks always want to be in an arch" . Moreover, it refutes a simplistic view of site determinism on design, and argues for the possibility from the open-minded designers to tackle with site differently and creatively.
