摘要
根据笔者统计,在路易·康作品全集里一共收录了他的83个作品,以耶鲁大学美术馆为界,成名之前的作品共收录9个,其中建成的有7个,成名之后的高含金量作品收录74个,其中建成24个,未建成的达50个之多,占路易·康作品的大部分。而且这些项目设计周期长,花费了康大量的时间和精力,就拿本文研究的胡瓦犹太教堂来说,前后设计周期长达七年,三易其稿,这就使得研究他的未建成作品有了重要意义。本文即是通过分析其重要未建成作品胡瓦犹太教堂,试图解析路易·康建筑的精神内涵。
According to the statistics, there are 83 works in the 《LOUIS I. KAHN COMPLETE WORK 1935-1974》, taking the Yale art gallery as the boundary, there are altogether 9 works before he became famous, in which 7 were completed, and 74 high-quality works after he became famous, in which 24 were completed, the number of his unbuilt works has reached 50, occupying the majority of Louis Kahn＇s works. Moreover, these projects had long design periods and cost a great lot of Kahn＇ time and energy, taking the Hurva synagogue studied in this thesis as anexample, the design periods lasted for seven years, and the design draft changed three times, this makes the study of his unbuilt works significant. This thesis attempts to parse the spiritual connotation of Louis Kahn＇s architecture through analyzing his important unbuilt work--Hurva synagogue.
