摘要
通过DCC辅助的酯化反应,合成了一系列(共7种)新型液晶化合物,即4-(4-烷氧基苯基偶氮基)苯甲酸-3-氟-4-氰基苯基酯,其中"烷氧基"代表丁氧基、戊氧基、己氧基、庚氧基、辛氧基、壬氧基和癸氧基中的一种。通过红外光谱、核磁共振氢谱和元素分析确认了这些化合物的结构。用示差扫描量热(DSC)和偏光显微镜(POM)检测了这些化合物的液晶性质,发现7种化合物都是互变热致液晶化合物,在介晶范围内都呈现向列相;这些化合物的清亮点随着烷氧基中碳原子数目增加而下降。该系列中最高的清亮点可达264℃,最大介晶相范围可达156℃。该文报告工作的新颖性,已由青岛市科学技术信息研究所2009年2月18日出具的第200905321107号《科技查新报告》所证实。
A series of new liquid-crystalline compounds ,3-fluoro-4-cyanophenyl 4-(4-alkoxyphenylazo) benzoate (where "alkoxy" was one of butyloxy, pentyloxy, hexyloxy, heptyloxy, octoylxy, nonoxy and decyloxy) were synthesized through DCC-aided esterification. They were characterized with IR, ^1 HNMR and elementary analysis. The liquid-crystalline properties of these compounds were explored using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and polarizing optical microscope (POM). All the seven compounds were found to be the enantiotropic liquid-crystalline compounds ; the clearing points of these compounds decreased along with the increase of the number of carbon atoms in the alkoxy group. The highest clearing point in this series was 264 ℃ and the largest mesophase range was 156 ℃. The novelty of the compounds in this study has been testified by the Novelty Assessment Report No. 200905321107,issued by Qingdao Institute of Science and Technology Information on Feburarv 18.2009.
