The decrees and standards to protect environment such as Oko-Tex standard 100 and ISO 14000 series were introduced. Then.it mentioned the requirements of 'green' textiles. It also discussed the exploitation of 'green' textiles from the effect of dyestuffs and auxiliaries on safety and biodegradation of textiles and environment. The substitution of forbidden dyes and auxiliaries were discussed in details.
