摘要
There have been many disputes about the translation of the Beijing 2008 Olympiad Mascots since it was first announced in 2005.And it was at last translated directly as the Chinese phonetic alphabet "Fu Wa".So this essay is going to explore some ideas of the English translation of "Fu Wa",and meanwhile discuss some translation approaches of culture-loaded words.
