摘要
对100名吉首大学师范学院非英语专业一年级学生做了一次调查,旨在了解文化差异和母语对理解英语否定句的影响,结果表明,当英汉否定词位置相同,被否定成分一致时,母语产生正迁移,当英汉否定句被否定成分一致,但否定词位置不一致时,母语产生负迁移,中西文化差异对理解英语否定有重要影响。
This paper investigates one hundred students of Normal College of Jishou University （Grade One, Non- English profes- sion）, aiming at learning how culture difference and mother language affect us to comprehend English negation, it indicates, when English negator and Chinese negator are separately at the same position, and negated parts are the same, mother language helps us to understand it. When English negator and Chinese negator arent at the same position separately, but negated parts are the same , mother language disturbs us to understand it. so, culture difference plays an important role in comprehending English negation.
