通过分析福克纳短篇小说《献给艾米丽的玫瑰》中爱米莉这一南方淑女在特定历史时期的悲剧命运,再现了作者福克纳对南方爱恨交织的复杂情感以及他将更大的关注投向整个人类生存环境的精神状态,进而揭示了社会转型期的矛盾和冲突,为福克纳心爱的南方唱了一曲动人的挽歌。
Faulkner＇s famous short story,＂A Rose for Emily＂, reflected his consistent idea and style of writing. In this story, by describing Emily,a southern lady＇s tragic fate, he revealed its huge contradictions and conflicts during the social transition, to reproduce for his south of the complex love-hate feelings,and what＇s more,a greater attention will be paid to the universal entire humanity＇s living environment and the mental state and then created an striking southern elegy.
