摘要
结合美国著名作家福克纳创作时的社会背景、宗教氛围,对福克纳几部主要小说中的耶稣式形象进行分析,探讨其成因和演变的过程,以求全面公正地评价作家的宗教观及其在作品中塑造这些各具特色的耶稣形象的目的和意义。
This essay examines the characteristics, evolutionary changes and possible historical and religious causes for the characterization of the distorted Christ-like figures in William Faulkner＇s works, which contrast sharply with their counterparts-the common fellows maintaining the fine qualities of humanism in the same novels, hence presenting a new perspective of understanding William Faulkner＇s thought of religion.
