Flavonoid and steroid constituents from the whole plant of Taraxacum sinicum Kitag.were investigated.Four flavonoids and three steroids were isolated from the ethanolic extract of T.sinicum, the structures of seven compounds were identified by spectral analysis and chemical evidence,which were elucidated as βsitosterol,stigmasterol,apigenin,apigenin7Oglucoside,luteolin7Oglucoside,rutinoside,and daucosterol.All the compounds have not been isolated from this plant previously,apigenin7Oglucoside and rutinoside were discovered from Taraxacum genus for the first time.
