摘要
在总结前人工作成果基础上，对华南地震区地震的空间和时间分布及地震能量释放特征进行了新的研究。指出强震主要集中发生在东西两端，目前的第二周期将在２０２０年前后结束，本世纪本（第四）活动幕将延续到２００３年前后结束，今后６级以上强震主要会集中在粤桂琼交界地区发生。
Based on the summarizng of the predecessors' research results,we studied the characterisitics of South China Area seismic time and space distribution,and the characterisitics of seismic energy release.The new research results pointed out that: the strong earthquakes concentrated mainly at the east end and the west end of seismic area.And now it is in second big period to end about in 2020.The fourth active episode began in this century will continue until 2003. Hence,the strong erathquakes ( M L≥6 0) will concentrate mainly in juncture area of Guangdong,Guangxi and Hainan province.
