Numerical Simulation of Filling and Solidification Process for Damper Cylinder of Motorcycle in Permanent Mold Casting

摘要 应用铸造模拟软件ProCAST对铝合金减震筒金属型铸造过程进行模拟,对比了铸件倾斜30°和60°时填充过程中的流场;分析了倾斜60°时铸件凝固过程中固相分数的分布情况;预测了可能出现的缩孔、缩松缺陷部位。基于模拟结果的生产实践表明:采用倾斜60°的浇注工艺方案能有效地提高铸件的成品率。 Numerical simulation of permanent mold casting process of aluminum alloy damper cylinder were simulated by ProCAST, and the flow field in the filling with 30 degrees tilted mold was contrasted with the 60 degrees tilted one. When the mold tilted 60 degrees, the distribution of solid fraction in the course of solidifying was analyzed, and the positions of shrinkage and dispersed shrinkage were predicted. Practical manufacture based on the results of the numerical simulation shows that the casting process with 60 degrees tilt can improve casting yield effectively.
