摘要
大多搭配研究局限于句子内部两个词项间的线性关系,即横组合关系。本文作者指出,作为一个语义范畴,搭配是分层次的。我们可以从更高的语篇甚至语用的角度去研究它。作为成就语篇连贯的一种词汇衔接手段,语篇层次上的词汇搭配不仅是词语选择的依据,也为某些词组以及句子层面上的非惯常性搭配提供了理据。
Most of the collocation studies are focused on the linear relationship between the words within a sentence— along the syntagmatic line. The author argues in this paper that collocation as a semantic category is hierarchically structured, which calls for the study of it from broader perspectives. The author also attempts to postulate that the choice of words and some irregular collocations at the phrasal and sentential levels are motivated by the consideration of collocation at the discourse, a kind of lexical cohesion, contributing to the coherence of the discourse.
