摘要
介绍了圆筒式磁流变离合器的工作原理,基于Bingham模型描述了磁流变液的流变特性,分析了磁流变液在两圆筒间的流动,得到了磁流变液的流速和离合器传递转矩的方程.研究结果表明,磁流变液在离合器中的流动是黏塑性流动,随着外加磁场的增加,离合器中的磁流变液的屈服与未屈服分解面向两表面靠近,磁流变液传递转矩的能力增大.
Magnetorheological (MR) clutches are the devices that transmit the torque by the shear stress of the MR fluids upon the applied magnetic flied. In this paper, the operating principle of cylindrical MR clutch is introduced; the rheological characteristics of MR fluids is described based on Bingham model; flow of the MR fluids in the MR clutch device is analyzed. The equations for the flowing speed and the torque developed by the MR clutch is derived. The results indicate that the flows of the MR fluids in the MR clutch exhibit viscoplastic flow behavior. With the increase of the applied magnetic field the yield and non-yield boundaries get near to the two surfaces, and the torque developed by the MR fluid increases.
