介绍了光子学的诞生、定义、内容、范畴和发展。强调了光子信息技术在通信、计算机、传感等信息领域的作用和目前的发展水平．指出了电子技术和光于技术是信息时代的技术基础．
The birth，definition,content.category and development of photonic are described.Emphasis will be put on the significance and present development status of the photonic technology in the field of information.such as communication,computer and sensor.Tt Is also point out in this paper that the electronic and photonic technology are technological basis of information age.
