摘要
现代汉语普通话中的单元音o只存在于边际音之中,在与唇音声母拼合时的实际音值不是单元音韵母o[o],而是复合韵母uo[u(?)]。在近代汉语语音演变史上,圆唇元音[o]发生了系列音变。根据普通话的实际读音以及语音描述的准确性原则,目前通行的拼写为bo、po、mo、fo的音节,改写为buo、puo、muo、fuo可能更具合理性。
Single vowel o in modem Chinese only exists in the marginal sound, the actual sound when spell with the labial initial consonants is not single vowel [ o ], but compound vowel/uo/ [uγ]. From the middle period of the 19^th century till Putonghua, the sound of round vowel [ o] have a great historical change. According to the actual sound of modern Chinese and accuracy prin- ciple in pronunciation descriptions, it might be more reasonable if we rewrite the syllables bo, too, fo as buo, puo, muo, fuo.
